You Are The Light IX

Acts chapter 16, beginning at verse 29: “Then he called for a light, ran in and fell down trembling before Paul and Silas. And he brought them out and said, ‘Sirs, what must I do to be saved?'”

This man who called for light lived in and was used to the darkness. However, a sudden and inexplicable shaking had come to his world. Everything had gotten beyond his control. Not only did he find a physical light, but more importantly, a spiritual one was there for him. Two men to whom I am sure he had shown very little kindness were still there for him to show him the way to eternal life.

Be there today for those who are not kind to you. You never know when or whose cries for help will come your way.

My brother, my sister, it’s time to pray.

Am trying to put into words the tension I feel right now (and hoping it gives some catharsis to others who recognise it).

On the one hand there is... never give up... fight for the children... we have come so far and are so near... I have put the work in so enjoy the upside... you were made for this... it's a privilege to experience and participate... you can help so many people... I know this ends well... the best is yet to come.

On the other hand is... I am traumatised... I feel betrayed by those close to me... the dues of Babylon are still arriving... the burden of injustice is so heavy... why are the honest made to hurt so much... everyday tasks seem to have become near impossible efforts... will this waiting ever end... I just want the pain to stop.

My resolution has been to take things a day at a time. When I fall over, rest a while, recover my strength, then carry on. Find the middle way between helpless/hopeless and Atlas Syndrome ("I will save the world — solo").

the Foundation Stone of Forgiveness

In the gospel of Mark 11:22–26, Jesus says, “Have faith in God, for assuredly. I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, be removed and be cast into the sea and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore, I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them and you will have them. And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive your trespasses. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in Heaven forgive your trespasses.”

Jesus gives us an incredible promise in Mark 11, however, this kind of authority stands on the foundation stone of forgiveness.

It’s time to pray.

I am slowly coming to terms with how information and psychological war causes real wounds. It is easy to see it in the masked and jabbed who won’t defend themselves (or their children) from harm. My sense is that anons are also accumulating real wounds from injustice, isolation, disruption, overwhelm, and economic stress. Constant exposure to genocide propaganda, gaslighting, and emotional abuse takes a toll.

It’s tempting to ignore the invisible wounds and tell yourself to “man up” and keep going. That works in the short run, but stores up longer term problems. The internal pain grows and grows, eventually becoming unmanageable. The nature of this was means we have to be strung along via “the plan” with an undetermined timescale. The costs of earlier failure to heal trauma come due while the war is still running.

The really dangerous enemy is self-harm and failure to care for oneself. I know that only too well at a personal level.

Joshua 10, partway through verse 13, says, “So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven and did not hastened to go down for about a whole day. And there has been no day like that, before it, or after it, that the Lord heeded the voice of a man, for the Lord fought for Israel.”

The Bible tells us that the heavens declare that they testify to God’s glory, His power to create and His power to subject all things to His will. He stopped the sun’s movement for a day because a chosen vessel of His had prayed in the midst of his battle.

If you fight for truth to be established in your life, God can suspend a myriad of things that have been set in motion to defeat you. Every promise written in the Bible is yours today. To silence every voice of opposition, simply point them to the sun.

It’s time to pray.
