A Man Just Like You And Me

Elijah was a man like you and me who experienced our passions and struggles. He faced moments of despair and, at one point, even asked God to take his life. Elijah aligned himself with the Spirit of God and began to walk in lockstep with Him. In bold faith, Elijah prayed for God to stop the rain for the people's sake. He wanted to break the power of deception, which manifested as lawlessness, perversion, and insatiable lust consuming that moment in history. In the same way, we can seek God's presence to be poured out for others and pray for His spirit to move in our lives, communities, and world. Let's ask God to break the chains of lawlessness, perversion, and false worship surrounding many people. May His presence bring transformation and restoration to our generation.

God chooses to display His power through us. We're the altar upon which the fire descends and the sacrifice upon which the fire falls. We are the ones who will demonstrate God's glory and power in this generation. We cry out to God, “Send the fire. Send the fire.” Like Elijah, we've done everything within our knowledge and ability, but the one thing we can't do is send the fire to God's hands. We can build the altar, prepare the wood, lay the sacrifice, and even gather the people, but without His presence, it's all in vain. Today, let's humbly and eagerly ask God for His divine fire to ignite our lives and purposes and the mission He has assigned us. It's time to bring Jesus’ name to glory and seek spiritual awakening.

It's Been A Miraculous Journey

Mark 10:27 says, “But Jesus looked at them and said, ‘With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible.’” I came to Christ at 24, and it's been an amazing and miraculous journey. It has taken me to places worldwide and allowed me to do things I could never have naturally done for God’s glory. Many people are sitting where I once sat. I wasn't raised in the church, but I remember sitting in church one day and hearing this scripture verse. I was on the edge of my seat, thinking, “Oh God, could it be true? Could you use my life in a way that I never dreamt was possible to do things that only you can do through me?” I have to tell you, He has been faithful. I learned that with God, all things are possible.

Each of Us Has A Hill

My Prayer

I pray for God to visit us again and bring about a spiritual awakening in this generation. We must ask Him to reveal Himself to this dark and deceived generation. We must acknowledge the perversion and lies that children are being exposed to from a very young age. We must cry out to God and ask Him to send us to be a testimony of His power. Like Elijah, who obeyed God's instructions and rebuilt the altar, we must be willing to do whatever God asks of us, even if it means sacrificing our freedom and safety. We must learn to move in unison with the Holy Spirit and seek God's guidance. Let's commit to following the Holy Spirit’s leading in our lives. To do this, you will need God's strength, which you get when you pray.

Ephesians 6:10–13 says, “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.” I don't know about you, but I am so thankful for those who have taken up the weaponry they need to defend the freedoms in this country. We bow today to every veteran who's listening and those with a veteran in your family. Thank you all for your great service and for giving the rest of us freedom. Thank you for paying the price so that we can live in the abundance of our God. We love you, and we're going to pray for you in Jesus' name

Love Your Enemies

In Matthew 5:43–45, Jesus said, “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.” We're given the commandment to love our enemies and to look for opportunities to bless them. Many people don't know what they're doing, just as Jesus said once about the people during His crucifixion. People today will never know God's goodness until they experience it through us, His people. We know it's impossible to love our enemies, and we don't want to bless those who hurt us. However, it is possible to do these things through the strength of God's Holy Spirit within us. Talk to God about it.

Aknowledging Our Failures

An insatiable hunger arises when we allow God to use our successes and failures as a testimony of His glory. If we only present perfection to this generation, they'll say, “Well, I can't aspire to that.” Alternatively, we can be transparent and say, “Look, I have my faults too. I have struggled and faced trials along the way. I've even questioned God's faithfulness, and I've accused Him of being unfaithful to me.” By acknowledging our shortcomings, we can also share about God's mercy, grace, goodness, power, and glory. We make it easier for others to relate to our experiences and relationship with the Lord. Together, we can significantly impact and inspire others to embrace God's love and grace. He's not looking for perfection; He's looking for you.

While it's important to bring our requests to God, there comes a point of maturity where we must shift our focus. We need to begin praying for college students who are influenced by false ideologies. We need to intercede for our young children who hear inappropriate teachings. We need to stand in prayer for middle schoolers who are prohibited from praying and high schoolers who face ridicule. It's time to recognize that this walk is not just about us. It's about a greater cause. We must begin to cry to God, asking Him to do whatever is necessary to capture people's attention and draw them back again or for the first time. Let's commit ourselves to this kind of prayer, seeking God's intervention for the sake of souls.

Ultimately, It's Not About Us

As Paul Apostle once said, God takes us in our weakness, not because we are strong. Using us as we are demonstrates His power through our lives. Therefore, we shouldn't boast about our strength. Instead, we must acknowledge our weaknesses and then rely on Him. God has a message for this generation, and we should pray for the ability to hear it and the courage to speak it. Let's ask God to help us convey His message without exaggeration and instead with simplicity. Let's also pray for the grace to accept and embrace what God is saying, regardless of our self-perception. Ultimately, life is not about us but what God desires to accomplish in and through our lives. Let's depend on His supernatural power and embrace His plan for our lives.

An Old Stone Church

I once encountered an old stone church and felt a deep emotional response. It reminded me of the prayers, love, and devotion once present there. Although the building may have lost its significance, God never forgets His people or their acts of love. Remember this passion, and let’s rekindle our desire for Him, individually and as a community. Let's invite God's presence back into our lives and churches through prayer, worship, and acts of love. We Were Not Shaken

As a church in Times Square, we faced the tragic events of 9/11 in 2001 with a peace that passes all understanding. Our hearts were filled with the Word of God, and we were assured He was with us. I witnessed countless individuals coming to Christ during that period. We were not shaken or thrown off course because God had spoken to us and protected us from being overwhelmed by the trials ahead. We know there's an ongoing hour of trial in this world, which will only grow deeper and darker as time progresses. In the face of the trials, let’s hold onto the peace and assurance God has given us through His Son, Jesus Christ. May we remain steadfast and unwavering, knowing that God will continue to protect and guide us through the challenges that lie ahead. This message is for you today. Don't be afraid; God is with you.

We live in a generation today with an absurd viewpoint on truth. The whole concept of your and my truth doesn't exist. Jesus Christ Himself said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father except by me.” You can't get to God by making up your rules. There is only one path, and the promise of embracing it will set you free. The truth of God will lead you into a place of power and supernatural life that was not available to you before. Walk In Forgiveness And Pray

The scriptures show us Jesus associating with criminals. They arrested Him, caused Him incredible pain, and put Him to death. People were no longer interested in Christ’s words. Today, people are pushing God out of our schools and government. Jesus and the gospel have become offensive. So the question is: How do we preach the gospel when our nation is so hostile towards Christians? We follow Jesus' example. Jesus had the power to destroy everyone while He was on the cross. Instead, He said, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” The answer is simple. We have to walk in forgiveness and begin to pray for our enemies.

The Lord Will Deliver Us

Psalm 32:6–7 says, “For this cause everyone who is godly shall pray to You in a time when You may be found; surely in a flood of great waters they shall not come near him. You are my hiding place; you shall preserve me from trouble; you shall surround me with songs of deliverance.” When this world is spinning into deeper and darker crises, the Bible says that people's hearts will begin to fail them. Because of the fear that comes upon the earth, floods of the ungodly will not touch the people of God. We will see God's glory and experience His keeping us in the power of His hand. We will walk with Him through every trial, fire, and flood we face. The Lord will deliver you in your time of trouble.

I Need Strength

It's time to tell God your weakness and need for Him. He's promised to reveal His strength through you to this generation. Seek His guidance and provision. Knock on the door of opportunity and believe that whatever you ask, you will receive. The Bible says that everyone who asks receives.

We can all say, “God, I need what you have for me. I need strength beyond my own. My resources are insufficient for the journey ahead of me. I lack the necessary willpower and conviction. My testimony is so inadequate. God, I need the strength that only you can provide.”

I don't know about you, but I'm asking, seeking, and knocking right now. Let us have faith and trust that as we do these things, God will equip us with everything we need to fulfill His divine purpose. In each one of our lives, we're called to be a testimony of His power to this generation.

America Has Lost Touch

America has lost touch with God in this generation. We've forgotten our founding principles, and we're now pushing aside the name of Jesus Christ and even mocking those who believe in Him. God Working Through Him

In 1 Corinthians 2:1–5, the apostle Paul emphasizes that when he came to the Corinthians, he did not rely on his eloquence or human wisdom to share the testimony of God. Instead, he chose to focus solely on Jesus Christ and His crucifixion. Paul understood that it was not his strength or accomplishments that mattered but rather the power and mercy of God working through him. It's not in your abilities or my knowledge that a difference can be made in sharing the gospel message of God. The Spirit of God within us empowers us to fulfill our calling and accomplish what we need to do. Let's surrender ourselves today anew to God's will, relying on His strength and allowing Him to work through us. Let's be vessels that demonstrate God’s power and love to others. What an amazing calling He has given us today!

Ignited By The Spirit Of God

It's a tremendous privilege to have the opportunity to be a shining example of God's love in this world. Imagine a church filled with people worldwide witnessing our burning passion for God. They look at us and say, “I don't know what they have, but I want it.” This example is the same experience that occurred on the day of Pentecost. Religious people encountered a group of individuals whom the Spirit of God ignited, and when they saw it, they said, "We want that." I experienced this when I shared my testimony at Cornell University. Young, incredibly bright people were drawn to the presence of God through the testimony of all of us who attended the event. They started to yearn for the same connection with God that we had. I wish you could have been there to see it. May our passion for God be so evident that people can't help but begin to desire what we have. Ask Him for strength.

God Can Set You Free

Listen to the words of God in Isaiah 45:2: “I will go before you and make the crooked places straight; I will break in pieces the gates of bronze and cut the bars of iron.” God can free you from whatever pit you are in today or whatever mountain stands before you. He's able to make every crooked path in your life straight again. He can remove any obstacle the enemy has set before you. God will take care of those difficult places you can't get out of, and He will take care of every place you've fallen into and every obstacle you can't get around. God will pull you out of the pit and set your feet on a firm foundation. He will remove those mountains from your life and give you the power to cast them. As the scripture says, into the midst of the sea, the crooked places in your life shall be made straight. Turn away from sin, turn to God, and make a straight path in your heart towards Jesus Christ.
