Dear God, I just want to thank You that I can find a true friend in You. Thank You for Your love that enables me to call You my friend and my Father. It is something I do not take for granted, Lord. In Jesus' Name, I Pray. Amen.

Jesus Christ is the friend in our lives who sticks closer than a brother. Human beings can let you down; it's in their nature and it is who they are. But we can be glad and grateful because God has given us Himself and HIs Son, in whom we can always trust in and rely on.

Update on my Granddaughter...

They got to go home from the hospital, all further tests were canceled as she is drinking once again!!! She was due for a sonogram this morning to check her stomach, but it was canceled and they get to go home!!!

Her mother thanks each and everyone of you for the prayers and well wishes, it worked!!! Thank YOU ALL!!!

God, thank You for giving me everything I need to live a godly life. Because of Your Spirit within me, I can have victory over every addiction, fear, or sin that tries to hold me back. Thank You for being enough for me. I am so grateful that I get to know You. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

A PRAYER FOR PERSEVERANCE

Father, thank You that I am not alone. You are with me, and I'm not the first one to face these challenges. I'm not giving up. Please strengthen me. I want to run my race well. I'm throwing off everything that hinders and running to You. Thank You that You meet me right where I am. Amen.

A PRAYER FOR STRENGTH ON THE JOURNEY

A PRAYER FOR PRAISE IN HARD TIMES

God, You are well-acquainted with my struggles, and they don't scare or shock You. instead, You seem to view them as opportunities to strengthen me and show off Your glory through me. So today, I choose to bring my struggles to You. I will rejoice even as I encounter hard times--because I know You are refining me, and giving me the strength to endure. Thank You! In Jesus' Name, Amen.

JOY IN HARD TIMES

Nobody enjoys suffering. it's hard to find joy in the midst of trials or difficult seasons--it's much easier to feel sadness or misery.

That's why Paul's encouragement in Romans 5 may sound contradictory. Paul was writing this to the church in Rome experiencing suffering from ungodly rulers, and yet he encourages them to rejoice in their suffering.

It wasn't enough to just endure suffering--he tells them to have joy. Paul knew that it wasn't natural to be joyful in hard times, but through the work of Jesus, Christians have peace with God and access to faith (Romans 5:1-2). Faith allows us to hold onto the hope that suffering isn't the end of our story.

Psalm 15 is pretty clear on how God expects us to live. It looks easy, so why is it that we have so much trouble keeping God's commands? Who of us has not gossiped, or broken a promise? We are told it is important to speak truth in our hearts, not just in our speech or actions. Sin can sometimes be our inaction as well as our actions. We may not lend our money and expect to be repaid with an unfair interest, but what about a bribe against the innocent? A bribe doesn't have to be money or gifts; sometimes it is the price one pays to be accepted by a group for not telling the truth. Truth be told, we can't live blamelessly on our own. We need God's help. Some of the greatest saints have been the greatest sinners. Peter and Paul are two examples of this. They both thought they had it together.

HOW GOD EXPECTS US TO LIVE

When we ask for help to live as witnesses for Christ, we will receive it.
