I confess that I let many moments slip through my fingers, half-lived. I neglect the present by worrying about the future or longing for a better time and place. Please open my eyes and awaken my heart so I can see all that this day contains! I want You to be involved in everything I do-equipping me to do my work heartily. Working collaboratively with You lightens my load and enables me to enjoy what I'm doing.

I find that the more time I spend communicating with You, the less I worry. This frees me to let Your Spirit direct my steps-guiding my feet into the way of Peace.

"Be still before the LORD, all mankind, because he has roused himself from his holy dwelling." -Zechariah 2:13

This is what the Sovereign LORD, the Holy One of Israel, says: "In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength, but you would have none of it." -Isaiah 30:15

But He said to me, My grace (My favor and loving-kindness and mercy) is enough for you [sufficient against any danger and enables you to bear the trouble manfully]; for My strength and power are made perfect (fulfilled and completed) and show themselves most effective in [your] weakness. Therefore, I will all the more gladly glory in my weaknesses and infirmities that the strength and power of Christ (the Messiah) may rest (yes, may pitch a tent over and dwell) upon me! -2 Corinthians 12:9 AMPC

[Azariah] went out to meet King Asa as he was returning from battle. "Listen to me, Asa! Listen armies of Judah and Benjamin!" he shouted. "The Lord will stay with you as long as you stay with him! Whenever you look for him, you will find him. But if you forsake him, he will forsake you." -2 Chronicles 15:2 TLB

"Go and make disciples of all nations...teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." -Matthew 28:19-20

And the LORD God said to the woman, "What is this you have done?" The woman said, "The serpent deceived me, and I ate."

The evil one uses three Ds to keep you from finding Me: distractions, deception, and discouragement. The world abounds with things to distract you from Me, so don't be upset when you realize your mind has wandered. Just return to Me with a smile, and whisper My Name in loving contentment. Deception is one of Satan's favorite tactics, from the time of Adam and Eve onward. The best defense against the devil's deceptions is to study and absorb My Word. Discouragement knocks at the door of every human heart at times, but you can refuse to let it in. As you resist these tricky tactics and look for Me, you will find Me.

Though the Bible instructs you to pray continually, at times you ignore this teaching. When you're feeling rushed, you find it hard to slow down enough to seek My perspective on the work at hand. However, diving in and forging ahead on your own is actually counterproductive. When you request My involvement before you begin, I can point you in the right direction-saving precious time and energy. I delight in helping you with everything, even simple tasks, because you are My beloved.

The harvest is ready, but are you? Let today be the say you take your first step toward answering Jesus' call.

How can you step into the "field" God has placed you in today?

Pray:

Lord, open my eyes to the opportunities around me. Help me see the people in my life who are ready to hear Your message. Give me the courage to step out in faith and share Your love with those around me. Use me as a laborer in Your harvest field. Amen.

Consider the people you encounter every day-family, friends, coworkers, or neighbors. These are your mission field. When you engage with them authentically and share God's love, you're helping to bring in the harvest.

Start by praying for God to open your eyes to the opportunities around you. Ask Him to soften your heart toward those who need to hear His message. Then, step into His field with faith, trusting He has already prepared the way. Sharing the Gospel may not always yield immediate results, but every faith conversation, act of love, or prayer is a seed sown for the Kingdom.

This reality presents both an incredible opportunity and a sobering challenge. While the harvest is ready, Jesus notes that there are too few workers willing to go into the field. He isn't just talking to pastors, missionaries, or church leaders-He's talking to all believers. He's talking to you! If you follow Jesus, you are called to participate in gathering the harvest. You don't need a degree in theology or a perfectly rehearsed presentation of the Gospel. What you need is a willing heart and the courage to step out in faith.

God's work in preparing the harvest isn't something we initiate, it's something we join.

So take some time today to pray for those in your life who do not know the hope that Jesus gives. Pray for their salvation, but also pray for opportunities to share your own faith story with them.

Telling others about Jesus doesn't mean you have to stand on a street corner shouting, but it does mean you should seek out intentional and meaningful conversations with others. When we tell others about the new life Kingdom available to them, we are continuing the work that Jesus left us to do.

This good news is that Jesus has brought the arrival of the Kingdom of God to earth, and that through His death and resurrection, He has made a way for all people to have a new life in Him.

This task of evangelism, or telling others about Jesus, was the first thing that Jesus asked His followers to do as He left the earth. Telling others about what Jesus had done for them is one of the most important things that we can do with our time. We have been given the greatest gift of all-eternal life with God. But that free gift is freely available to the rest of the world as well.

Faith must also be nurtured. By sharing with others the ways in which God has worked in our lives, we are nurturing the faith of others. When we listen to the faith stories of others, our faith is nurtured. May we always give witness to the faith and hope that lives in our hearts.

Faith is an interesting virtue. What gives us the ability to have faith? Actually it begins in our infancy. We learn faith from our parents. Parents who tend to their child's needs tach that child that there is someone who can be depended on. This gives them courage to believe. If you have ever known a child whose parents were not present or neglectful, you know that this child has a problem depending on anyone but himself. This inability to trust, to have faith, in anyone can last into adulthood, bringing many problems into his life. When you think about it, parents are the gods in a child's life. The first prayer most of us learn is the Lord's Prayer. How does it begin? Our Father, who art in heaven. If our parents have taught us to be fearful of them or to be unable to depend on them, what must they think of God?

Whenever I start to feel afraid, please remind me that You are with me. You have promised You will never leave me or forsake me. Moreover, You Yourself go before me wherever I go.

Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. -Colossians 3:15

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. -Philippians 4:6-7 NKJV

My Peace can function as an umpire in your heart, settling the questions and doubts that rise up in your thoughts. Whenever you start to feel anxious, use those feelings as a reminder to communicate with Me. Talk with Me about whatever is disturbing you. Bring Me all your requests with thanksgiving. Because you are Mine-intimately united with Me-I personally guard your heart and mind with My Peace. Remember that this is supernatural Peace, which surpasses all understanding.

Even when you walk through the darkest valley, you need not be afraid, for I am close beside you. Enjoy My nearness, beloved, and communicate with Me. I will guide you carefully through this day and all your days. For I am your God for ever and ever; I will be your Guide even to the end.

So although we are not Zephaniah's original audience, we can find comfort in knowing that God is the same throughout all generations. He is still in our midst, He still actively rescues people, He still rejoices over us, and He still covers His children with His unending love.

He is still our mighty God, and He cares for those who come and call on Him.

So today, take some times to thank God for His faithfulness and reflect on His unchanging character. Then, re-read Zephaniah 3:17 and speak that verse out loud over yourself and your family.

Actually, no. In fact, I now of a gentleman who has organized a wonderful group to go to Africa to help organize the local women and teach them about maternal and child care. This man has no problem declaring that he is an atheist. His works are those of a good human being who has not faith in God, but of a good humanitarian. For those of us who declare that we are Christians, our faith needs to go hand in hand with the good works we owe our brothers and sisters who are less fortunate.

Our works can take different directions depending on our circumstances. For those who have enough money, they can make donations to organizations that help with food and housing. For those with time, they can volunteer at food banks or homeless shelters. For some, they can volunteer for educational trips to other countries to help teach better methods of sanitation or purification of water. Everyone has some ability to help others. There are many people who do good things for others. Does that mean that they have faith?

🙏❤️🤗🕊️I try really hard on this one too. It's a tough one. I think we all struggle with this from time to time. It's hard being kind, when someone has been extremely rude or hurtful. Sometimes, we just have to walk away from the situation, give it to God and then go back and talk to Him about it. Ask Him to show us how, even though it's tough.🙏❤️🤗🕊️

I'm thankful I can tell You about my feelings and the struggles I face. You already know all about them, but it does me good to bring them to You. As I spend time basking in the Light of Your Presence, I realize how safe and secure I am. You are with me every nanosecond of my life, so I'm never alone!

The more I seek Your Face, the more I gain Your perspective on my life. At times I find it useful to write out my prayer-concerns. This clarifies my thinking and provides a record of my prayers. It's also a way to release my problems to You. I rejoice that You are watching over me continually.

To enjoy these intimate moments with Me, you must trust Me-refusing to rely on your own understanding. Trusting Me involves consciously leaning on Me for support, just as leaning on a massive rock help you keep standing when you are weary. I am indeed the Rock of your refuge. Rejoice in the One who supports you so strongly and loves you so tenderly.

I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels or demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
