She's an idiot - I live in Texas! What happened was the "green" windmills froze up - AND the oil production was low because we got the stupid windmills. They cannot amp up the oil production again over night - it takes time!

I live here and have wondered the same! This is pretty unheard of! Not so much a week of winter - but no power/rolling power and water and gas running low too! Oh and firewood!

Good news - we in Tx have our own power grid..... bad news - when winter hits here it knocks us out! Texans don't do well in single digit temps(neg windchill) and no heat - lol. We'll get thru tho

rolling blackouts - precautionary due to winter weather (6+ inches of snow and neg. temps. We were told this would happen yesterday.... dark winter I guess.... brrrrrrrr
