Sometimes, George, I think Salvation can be a painful, gut wrenching process.
From my point of view, that day you walked off the job in disgust & never looked back at IRS again, KNOWING that they would retaliate, doesn't look to me like the day you lost a part of your soul, but rather the day Yeshua (Jesus) said to you, "Follow me" - and you did.
You could have stayed at IRS, earned a good living & a hefty retirement, but you didn't.
Seems to me what felt like losing part of your soul, was actually Salvation's arrival.
Perhaps that experience with the crying woman was meant for you to see & experience, so you could tell & show the world today the depth of corruption at the "Internal Bureau of Revenue" aka IRS.
