You can do it! My husband stopped cold turkey in September of 2000. He has not had a drink since then. He stopped because he went to jail overnight for public intoxication. Several years later, he was hired at that same jail to be a jailer. He recently retired from that job. It's amazing how a difficult situation can turn into a blessing. Truly amazing! Many years ago, my BFF and her daughter were attacked by 3 large dogs, a rotweiller and 2 pitbulls. Their doberman protected them at the near loss of his life. He was terribly torn up. The vet managed to save him. I will forever be grateful for that dog!
