In this age of tech we should have single law bills. When one is presented we should be able to go to our reps page and vote if we want it or not. We see a tally in real time like a survey of how many for/against. Then our rep votes the majority. If not, hold them accountable. Vote them out next election.

While I was still living in NJ, I was helping my friend gut his house which had been flooded by hurricane Sandy in Union Beach NJ. My friends wife found a number for the Mennonites. She had called the day before and asked for their assistance. They drove from PA to NJ. They pulled up in a large van. There were 12 of them, like the 12 apostles. Each 1 of them was bigger than the next. I am 6 feet tall and I was tiny compared to them. Each had huge hands of steel. They gutted the entire house in no time. They asked for nothing. We fed them and they moved onto the next house. I was in awe of them. God bless the Amish and the Mennonites. We have a lot to learn from them.

Property taxes are local, not state. So we’d need to do a constitutional amendment (requires 60% of voters to approve) to eliminate them (which I would support) or even to reform/lower them…

We should put the boldest amendment on the ballot that has a chance of getting that 60%…

I agree that taxing land/property is the more oppressive and ineffective form of taxation…

WHAT WILL I RENDER TO GOD

What will I render to God for all His benefits? Have you ever tried to write down all the blessings and benefits that God has given you? When I try to count my blessings, I wind up thinking of something else just when I think I've finished.

First, I thank God for each day that I wake up. Sometimes I'm hurting from arthritis or I have a headache, or a cold, etc. But I woke up. I have a roof over my head and I pray for those who do not. I give thanks for the food in my refrigerator and again, I am reminded of those who wake up hungry and don't know what they will eat that day. I do give to organizations that actually spend their donations on the poor, and am grateful that I have enough to do that.
