I have seen this clay pot hack before. With the dangerous winter storm coming to most of the US this weekend I was wondering if other kinds of clay pots would work as well. For instance I have a large clay garden pot. It's definitely clay but has a glaze finish and no hole on the bottom. Does anybody know if that would work?

The hole has to be there, that's the chimney.
