The common cold has officially made it to my town.

There's panic in the streets.

I know, a case of the common cold has never been front page news until now.

I was raised working on a farm... Believe you me, NOTHING STOPPED because of a cold - NOTHING.

You had to be already dead & cold when gran found you if you were going to get out of chores...

Later in life, how many times did I show up & work my ass off - by employer's demand - until I was wrecked, because I didn't take care of myself...

Not many years til I started working for myself & setting my own rules.

This is the part of the movie where things get hysterically funny.

It's really a good thing that I don't go out much, beause I'd get myself in trouble for bitch-slapping some of these CovID10ts, for sure.

I'm tempted to put a sign in my back window:

HONK if you think Covid is a total SCAM!

I wonder how much trouble I could get into with that?

Between 7 commercial poultry houses that are NEVER all empty at once/get time away from, a small herd of cattle, a milk cow, several horses, a 2+acre garden in summer, a 1 acre potato plot we turned each fall & got near bloodied knees braking tater clods/storing them, winter stock hayfields to cut/bale/store during summer when the hay grows well, and a 100acres of woodlands we used firewood from each winter...
Dad worked a 17.5 YEAR stretch once. Yeah...you fucking read that right...fever, wheezing/coughing in the crazy winters that come and go, pulling over & throwing up out the truck door if a stomach problem, and continuing on to work when done...yeah farm life doesn't stop.

Bingo!

We went to work with broken hands, broken feet, pounding heads or sick stomachs.

I remember getting up at night to find Gran still busy mending some piece of clothing or other. We had patches on our clothes, sure, but I never realized where they came from until then. It was just something she did.

Our pantry stayed full & we always had enough to share with others in need.

We ran on INTESTINAL FORTITUDE.

We volunteered to help others get crops in, raise a barn, kill chickens, or have a canning bee. Why? Because we loved our neighbors & enjoyed helping them.

We didn't do it for ourselves; we were part of a family that needed us.

We did that OUT OF LOVE.

...the people that survive anything...go ahead and shit this whole shit hole society down I say...I'll be fine! Have guns, fishig gear, food stored, water stored, LOADS of heirloom plant seeds correctly long term stored too! Including real actual hemp for fiber! I lived off grid extensively twice in my life deliberately and if the wife would go, I would go back!

You & I should talk, fren. I am likewisse prepared.

However, I gave my last pack of Carmagiola hemp from Italy to a friend intent on growing it... so now my collection includes mostly sativa, indica & ruderalis & a variety of ancient specimens, such as a pre-1974 der amanap. Excellent medicine plants, including many that are very low THC/high CBD.

I'd love to be back in the 4 Corners area again, but I'm getting old & it's such a hassle MOVING things.

When this bullshit is over & NESARA rolls out, I'm planning on fixing this place up chocolate box perfect, with all the trimmings, then head a bit north, out of hurricane country.

Randolph Co. comes to mind. I've wanted springs for a long time & there are plenty there. Bit higher elevation, better quality of goats up there as well, LOL.

...I think I have the only grade-schooler in town that can take a hemp stalk, bet the cellulose out of it, thrash and break it down, and comb out a handful of fibers from it for use...
I know how to do almost anything primitive. I researched and was addicted to primitive technology all through my 20's and early 30's and did lots of practicing it too. I am still a practicing primitive boyer, small wooden boat builder, urban power farmer in the desert growing food from literal sand freaking the wife and son out, snail farming in the desert, and starting a microgreen operation soon in the garage.
I had to use medicinal applications in food now. Years of party smoking it in my youth and smoking pipe tobacco for a couple of decades before quitting have destroyed my throat so can't smoke anything now. But my vices have finally been whittled down to just light drinking which I also want totally gone eventually...but it is my stress vice in these times I still daily struggle with!

I devoured the entire Foxfire series, for one...

I'd love to have the whole set again, but very hard to find.

That's what I'm doing these days - collecting books with old-time knowledge in them.

My Gran was from Rabun Co., GA. One of her teacher friends had sent her the first Foxfire book.

I wish I had listened to my grandpa in Arkansas more when alive. He could go outside, watch the birds, horses, chickens in the pen, dogs, etc., and with an insane level of accuracy know what clothes to take along for a day's work and not have to return till after you had done the day, eating your lunch in the field brought to you or packed in, and stop in time to just make the front door's door handle as the house front yard got dark. He was a Morgan horse team driver skidding logs for railway cross ties at the early turn of the century till that trade literally disappeared. Little tiny just at 5' tall man could take any huge uncut stallion and make it do anything he wanted. A life of horses, he still gardened with one and a turn plow till he died.
