Being from Wyoming we spent many happy days wandering around Devil's Tower as a teen.
We did mention it looked like a giant tree stump but didn't see any others close by so assumed it was a geologic formation.
Teenagers still have a lot to learn as we 1970s/80s teens demonstrated!
