I stay quiet to keep peace in the family because narcissistic individuals are unpredictable. I just let him go. Divorce is not an option because of unpredictability. Lawyers get all the money and I already got the shaft. So divorce is a no for me. Father God AND Jesus knows. That's good enough for me. 💕🙏💕🌼

It is very sad and difficult to watch someone that you once loved make such poor decisions. Unfortunately if you stay you will have to make the decision to either support their devious and therefore become complicit or embrace their choices. Obviously you are a person of great integrity. I have siblings that are married to men who have taken the wrong path and now they are trapped in terrible situations where they basically had to sell their souls. If so, my advice is this:
26 years is a lifetime to throw away. Walking away causes disruption throughout the entire family. Both of you will spend the rest of your lives searching. You will spend your days finding more ways to hate each other.
But each situation is different. Where I am from, the family usually gets together to force the couple to work it out, first time round. If it continues, it's ended with everyone's blessing. This happens because sometimes the couple has not aired out their issues in so long, that they can't begin to describe them.
If both of you are willing to see the other side and work on it, you will come out stronger.
You will be told a lot today to run. I am not one of those people. I think you should stay. Work it out. It can be done.
It's difficult to advise without context, but today, more than ever, you two need to communicate, not talk, communicate, for as long as you have energy for.

I have walked your path. I sought help from my pastor and he helped me understand many things. Unfortunately, despite marriage counseling my husband wanted to be out of our marriage. It is very hard, because I took my vows seriously and did not want to go against them. My best advice is stay close to God, pray, find a good spiritual counselor like a pastor. Journal as well. Seek a Christian marriage counselor that will help you both be able to discuss the situation. If divorce is the result know that God will guide you. He led me to a wonderful divorce recovery seminar which I soon became a faciltator myself, helping others; and eventually to a new Godly, faithful husband. You are stronger than you think when God directs your path. 😇
