I went to spend some time today with my dying friend, Ruby. She has lost so much weight, she looks like a skeleton. She knew I was there, and she tried so hard to tell me something, but she couldn't. I'm sure she was trying to tell me she loves me. She always told me. She always called me Sis, we were like sisters. I've been holding little ice packs to my eyes, they are so swollen.
