Archaeologists have uncovered the ancient Pool of Siloam, the place where Jesus healed the man born blind in John 9. Long dismissed by skeptics as a symbolic story or a “made-up location,” the pool was rediscovered in 2004 during routine sewer repairs in Jerusalem. Excavations revealed broad stone steps, massive walls, and a sprawling public mikveh exactly where the Gospel of John said it would be—confirming the biblical narrative down to the geography.
This is the same pool Jesus sent the blind man to wash in, the moment his eyes were opened and his life was forever changed (John 9:1–7). Today, the pool is being fully excavated and will soon be open for visitors to walk exactly where this miracle took place.
Every stone in Siloam testifies to this truth: the Bible is not myth—it’s rooted in real places, real people, and real miracles.
