God, when I think about all that You've done for me, I am overwhelmed with thanks. You are so good and kind to me! Thank You for being my steady source of hope and joy. You are worthy to be praised at all times, in every situation! In Jesus' Name, Amen.

A PRAYER OF AMAZEMENT

God, I am grateful for Your continual presence. I'm amazed that You delight in me! Thank You for seeing me not for my imperfections, but as Your child. Help me to never lose focus on You. Your guidance, and Your love. I want You to be the most important part of my life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

A PRAYER FOR A CENTERED HEART

God, open my eyes to what's driving me. To what I'm truly devoting myself to. Help me as I fight against selfish desires. When people see my life, I want them to see You at the center. Refocus my heart and mind on You, my eternal treasure. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

A UNIFYING MISSION

Almost every successful company or group in history has shared something in common: they all had a unifying mission.

Missions are critical in not only aligning objectives, but also unifying a large group of people toward one purpose.

And yet, even among Christians, there is so much division and disunity.

Part of the division comes from our lack of clarity and commitment to the mission that is defined in Scripture. And to make it worse, we are sinful people, and sin naturally causes division in our lives and relationships.

But, the Psalmist in Psalm 133:1 reflects on how good it is when the people of God live together in unity. There is something powerful that happens among Christians when we are unified.

GOD'S ANSWER

We all know a little about the story of Job. He loses everything he has, wife, family, livestock, and land, and his "friends" keep wanting him to blame God. Most of the book is a dialogue between Job and his friends, but he never says anything negative about God. Now, Job and God have been in conversation. Job's answer to God here speaks a profound truth about faith. We have been taught about God by others. But the time must come in each of our lives to actually "see" what God has done both in the world and in us. For our faith to be "ours," we can't let it rest on the confession of others. The Apostles' Creed is one of the earliest declarations of faith by Christians and begins with the words, "I believe." We will never understand the mind of God.

The abhorrence God shows towards certain things is worth taking note of. It may surprise non-believers to discover that "hate" is used very little in the Bible when it comes to God, since it is evident He is much more a loving and merciful Father to us. The only things God truly hates are those sins that take His children from Him, the sins of pride or arrogance, evil deeds and the lies that both create the climate to commit the former acts, and helps sustain them.

Not one single soul lost can be replaced by the amount these institutions made. The mere fact that they were willing to sacrifice a person's life for the blood money being offered is offensive. I resisted our family physician's advise to get that jab along with my Mama. We never got covid even though we were exposed several times. My mama passed away at the age of 100 years 17 days old. She had all her faculties and her dear soul was at peace as she went up into Heaven surrounded by those who loved her best. I am sorry for those who were not so fortunate.

Dear God, we know that spiritual warfare is real. The powers of darkness exist and they try to pull us away from the light and apart from You. Give me wisdom and strength to battle this darkness in Your Name. Thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus Christ, so that I no longer have to live in darkness but may rejoice as a member of Your Holy Kingdom. We know You will conquer evil and darkness. Help me to live my life as a light shining in the darkness to help draw others to You. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Those living in sin are living in darkness. Even more, they are living under the power of darkness. We have a true enemy and it exists in this power of darkness pulling us further away from the light and from truth. It is in darkness where we try to hide our sins. However, we do not have to live in darkness! God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to save us! When we place our faith in Jesus Christ, He is quick to forgive us and we become a part of His Kingdom. There is no darkness in His Kingdom. Praise God1
