I am an active volunteer in my community.
today my neighbor who is a retired landscaper told me that my front yard is starting to look a little bit like Yosemite 😄
Luna - our mini-schnauzer has been a great help in the garden. She loves to pick up the weeds I just pulled and spread them all over the yard. Then she barks at the rake in a very high pitch that only puppies have. She also loves getting soaked when I am watering, and then jumps into the mulch in the flower beds. She is a constant source of love and much, much laughter
my garden experience has continued to blossom 🌻 😄. Our front yard is mostly shade all day. I moved a lot of river rocks from our back yard to the front and made a faux river bed. One side that gets some sun is lined with agapanthus (because I have lots and lots of it and it needs to be divided). The more shady section of the river is being planted with ferns. I built a walk way out of left over deck boards. I will be adding a small patio, I have great neighbors I love to talk to and it will be a great place to watch the 4th of July parade.
I did not start out with a formal or informal plan, but I am loving how it is all coming together.
I was raised catholic, I have 9 brothers and sisters and we all went to catholic school. Every Sunday my mom gave the church an envelope of money, even though we struggled to have food on the table every month. I quit when I realized how stupid it was that a religion made us eat fish sticks and tatertots every Friday. Years ago we were at my mom's for her 80th birthday. She was still paying for our catholic education - all those years!!! We divided the balance by 10 and each helped pay off the balance. The youngest of us was 40. Mom would have never paid that bill off.
Just random thoughts on growing up catholic. We also had to go to church 3 times a week (besides Sunday) as part of the school day. Our nuns had the square headpieces and they were MEAN!
sadly it was required and we were told we could be held in contempt if we refused
Sadly I think California will be masked into the next century if newsom gets his way. At least some of the stores have picked up the stupid one way signs in the aisles
aren/t the politicians are all paid by the taxpayers, so actually everything they buy is paid for by us, whether its food, medications, cars, clothes - unless they have a second job, that pays for all of that
whenever they say the federal government pays for this - they really mean that WE THE PEOPLE OF THE UNITED STATES pay for this - remember that
it matters to patriots, but it will make the liberals sleep better at night
I am in California and its 48 right now with a high of 63 - so naturally we are all freezing 😆😆
😒the patriots are outraged, the supporters of bidan are still asleep
I cannot imagine missing this. While things are pretty crazy, I am so glad I am aware, and awake.
when we are not eating popcorn, this is a drinking game, right?
perhaps the socialist democrats are not very good at math or they were using common core
been there - my hands are the only ones small enough to fit into the garbage disposal
no doubts here, but good sleuthing for those who are not sure
Since this started, everything began to make sense. If you question everything, eventually the answers come back to you.
