I haven't posted in a little while, sometimes social media gets to be too much. So I have spent time in the garden. When its not raining, its just beautiful outside. The raised beds are done, and planted, lots of weeding has happened and our new puppy Luna is trying to fugure things out. Its all good. today I am planting azaelas.

Those are the only stands authorized for the USAF (and probably the USSF) per AFI 34-1201. The stands are used for each service around the world. The stand is made of a single, very heavy disk that has a threaded hole in the middle. A tube comes with it, both of them a nickel plated (and maybe chromed, I'm not positive on that). The slightly more expensive version comes with an adapter so that you can place three flags in one stand (that would be for display only, not for posting).

I have Jury Service this week. While in the court room I noticed that the American Flag does NOT have gold fringe - the bailiff could not say when the flags were changed out - infact he never noticed until I mentioned it.

working in the garden today - actually everyday when the weather is nice. We are getting a puppy on Sunday, so I need to fix the gate so she can't get out. Our neighbors have 7 pit bulls and feed the local cats. Because of all the dogs, the cats spend the day in our yard and terrorize the chickens. Yesterday I told the chickens that I was getting them a puppy. I hope soon she will keep the cats at bay. But initially she will just be cute.

I got a haircut today. Its the first time the salon has been open since March. It is so refreshing to loose that ponytail. It was a new stylist, but I didn't care, because hair always grows back (at least for me) and I got a Great cut.
