On the green screen behind the the CEO of the United States, Inc. is a projection of a hallway in the White House lined with state and territory flags on either side. Notice the flag stands. Those are the only stands authorized for the USAF (and probably the USSF) per AFI 34-1201. The stands are used for each service around the world. The stand is made of a single, very heavy disk that has a threaded hole in the middle. A tube comes with it, both of them a nickel plated (and maybe chromed, I'm not positive on that). The slightly more expensive version comes with an adapter so that you can place three flags in one stand (that would be for display only, not for posting).
