For decades I thought they were Crickets.
They are not.

Oh my giddy aunt....i hear ...a frequency?! being emitted... it took a few times listening, but when i closed my eyes to hear it, it stands out like a sore thumb. can you hear it also or am i just loopy?

What does it mean when you have always heard the ringing? It is deafening in silence, but even when it's noisy it's still there, constant, always.

Lol it's not tinnitus, zero symptoms. no thumping, wooshing, heart issues, etc. My hearing is perfect, even after surviving the 80's & 90's music at excessive decibels 😆

oh that's what I thought tinnitus was "when you have always heard the ringing" in the ears.
So what you're hearing is a constant ringing - a frequency tune?

I assume it's a frequency, but I couldn't tell you what range. Very high pitch. I always thought it was just me until a couple years ago. No one else i've ever asked heard it.

Interesting is it a steady sounds or does it come and go?
Notice it in different ares, times of the day or diff people?

Yes it's steady, but occasionally the pitch will change for a short duration, it usually catches my attention. When I was a kid, whenever my mom took me to Sears or JC Pennies, I think the alarm system would put out a similar ring, but it was much louder and I couldn't stay in the store long because it was hard to hear anyone talk to me. No one else seemed to notice
