Ashwagandha Improves Hypothyroidism
By Dr. Russell Blaylock, M.D.
The herb ashwagandha (Withania somnifera), also called Indian ginseng, has a number of useful properties, including improving memory and obsessive-compulsive disorder, preventing neurodegeneration, and benefiting immunity.

It also has anticancer properties. In a double-blind, placebo-controlled study involving 50 people with subclinical hypothyroidism (mild hypothyroidism that is not clinically recognized), researchers found that ashwagandha improved objective measures of thyroid function significantly in all the subjects.
somebody ever heard of allergy for vitamin C, what to do/to take against it? Please!
It could be the "type" you're buying. sadly, most are synthetic & body can't absorb anyway. when you read a label of vit c bottle....there should not be a ton of other ingredients. & unfortunately, you get what you pay for, so the cheaper, the more additives.
put in "search bar" vitamin c types or variations or differences & you'll quickly learn there are diff types in capsule forms. put in search bar veggirs with high vit c ...brocoli, brussel sprouts, sweet & white potato, all winter squash, tomatoes, etc...all high in vit c & if truly allergic you would not be able to eat any of these . doctors only follow what the fake numbers on tests tell them & yes they are mostly fake.
So again, it may not be vit c you are allergic too, but an additive. even if you had a doctor test, i would still try variations of REAL vit c ...
Can you drink OJ, eat lemon juice, cherry juice, grapefruit, limes kiwi, mango, pineapple, even apples? Again, not allergic if you can consume.

Ascorbic acid and vitamin C are not stored by the body. When you ingest the supplement, the portion of the substance that's not used by the body is expelled through your urine. Vitamin C is essential for the growth and repair of soft tissue. It is also a natural antioxidant, eliminating free radical cells from your body, according to the University of Maryland Medical Center. Free radical cells promote disease and mutation. Vitamin C naturally occurs in citrus fruits and leafy green vegetables. If you develop adverse reactions after taking the supplement, discontinue use and call your doctor.
Thank you Storm, was asking this for a fren.👍
Do you have any recommendations for a good quality Vitamin C supplement to take? What about Quercetin and black cumin seed oil (I think that is the name) supplements any recommendations on brands? Thank you for any help. 😊

Yes, Ascorbic acid and vitamin C are similar in chemical composition and are therefore classified by the FDA as the same substance. Ascorbic acid does contain very similar components but lacks some other nutrients found in naturally occurring vitamin C found in foods. If you are allergic to ascorbic acid and vitamin C, you will only experience an allergic reaction when you take supplements. Vitamin C in its natural state will not cause an allergic reaction. Because most supplements are synthetic, your immune system may not recognize the substance and attack it, causing an allergic reaction.
