The highly rated fancy dermatologist I used to go to required all patients to wear sunscreen home after every visit. I stopped going there immediately because when I spoke to them about the recalls of sunscreens they disagreed and bullied me. How stupid.
The sun is the best thing for your health, that's why [they] want you to stay out of it.
Sunscreen never even existed from what I can remember when I was a child.

I am very, very fair skinned and my mother used to put Coppertone on my skin 76 years ago. 😊 In my teens it was popular among my friends in the 60's to put baby oil on their bodies to get a tan. ( I grew up in South Florida). When I decided to try it I got a blistering burn like I was fried in oil. So, unfortunately to this day I have to be very careful. I do use only zinc oxide however, no additives. I do go out in early morning and evening sun to get my Vit D and I don't wear sunglasses because the eyes absorb Vitamin D as well. 😉

I'm planning to go to the beach with family today minus sunscreen as always. Vitamin D from the sun is healing.
Exactly! I’ve reclaimed my childhood sun habits. We spread coconut oil all over, got burned a bit then a slow tan.
