HONOR GOD

God, who am I that You are mindful of me? You are above all things, and by You all things are held together. You are holy. And even though I often feel unworthy, You carefully created me. You set me apart before I was even born. You are worthy to be praised! So in whatever I do, let me do it for Your glory. Amen.

CONCERNS

“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”

Imagine God hands you a gift: His peace. In return, He asks you to give Him your worries and concerns. That may seem crazy, but that's exactly what God wants from you. Think about that as you talk to Him about what's on your mind today.

UNCHANGING

In an ever-changing, always-moving, constantly-shifting world, we can count on the unchanging nature of God.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, the author of Hebrews said it like this:

"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever." Hebrews 13:8 NLT

A title for the three distinct parts, or "Persons," of God is the Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. And the Son-Jesus Christ-is the purest reflection of the Father, who never changes.

When you unpack the stunning mystery that is God made flesh in the Person of Jesus Christ, you'll notice that He said audacious things like: "I and the Father are one," (John 10:30) "Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father," (John 14:9) and, "Now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began." (John 17:5)

HELP US TO IMITATE JESUS

Jesus, the world may change-but You won't. You don't shift. You don't unexpectedly change Your mind or leave us. You give us a consistent example to follow because You are trustworthy and worth following. So please help us to look to You as we go about our daily lives. Help us to follow the example You set. RESPONSE

Father God, thank You for showing me the paths that lead to life! It is an honor to spend time with You, and learn from You. As I go about my day, please help me apply what I've heard from You today. Continue to speak to me, and help me to listen to Your voice so that I can obediently follow You. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

A PRAYER OF SURRENDER

Jesus, the way You loved and served others challenges everything that comes naturally to me. It's hard to let go of my desire for fairness and love with my whole heart. And yet, this is what You call me to. This is the way You love me. Teach me, Jesus. Help me let go of whatever I may be holding against people and instead trust and love You fully. In Your Precious Name, Amen.

THANKING GOD FOR EVERY GOOD THING

God, I believe that every good and perfect thing is from You. Thank You for not only wanting good things for me, but also for loving me. I'm grateful for every blessing You've placed in my life, and I choose to focus my mind on these things. I love You, Lord. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
