People show a level of compassion for the poor more at this time of year than at any other. People seem friendlier - unless, of course, you are reaching for the last "special" toy in the store! We are meant to bring peace and reconciliation into our worlds - the worlds of family, work, and neighborhood. As followers of Jesus, it is our responsibility to be witnesses to the world that the kingdom of God here if only we are willing to see it. We no longer need to sing with the psalmist,"Lord, come and save us" because He already has. However, we still need to bring the good news of the gospel to all who are still waiting to hear it. How do we do that? We become living signs of Christ to all we meet.

You should not pass judgement on all SNAP users. There are extenuating circumstances for people who really need this help. An Ex. A mother has an autist child and her husband divorces her. This child can not be left in the care of others, because they don't understand or know what to do when the child is having a meltdown. Most people won't even babysit for her. This mother can only work part time and she is not receiving any support. She raised this child with only help from her son. The child is now 18, but still autist. So SNAP is essential for their survival. Both are American citizens born and raised here.

I have been using baking soda to brush my teeth for about 5 years now and they are whiter then they ever have been and I don't have problems with them loke I did with toothpaste.

I agree. I quit doing anything on Halloween a long time ago. I realized what it was and would not celebrate it.

If you look at most of these shootings, you will find that in the majority, most of the shooters were under a psychiatrists care. I believe the psychiatrists were MKUlraing these young people into doing this. This is my opinion from what I have seen over the years. 😕
