the thing that has worked for me personally is to shut up- the last time a family member started antagonizing me, I said fine, you win. I won't bother you with my thoughts on this anymore. And then later, I would gasp when i saw something on my phone, or i would be happy and they would ask why the good mood, and i would say, oh you don't want to hear about this. The fear of missing out actually made two of my family members apologize and tell me they want yo hear about it. if they give me grief, i say, do your own research then. they have humbled up. try it!

Right? They want to know, but they also want to bring you down to their level. They think its all about you feeling superior or knowing more- but really its just truth. I try to be humble about it when i tell people stuff, its not a competition. if they get nasty, i disengage, take the high road. if people can't hear the truth, i just tell them that im here if they ever decide they want to talk about it. i did that to my whole faceberg feed.
