It really is a spell. Dark magic. Most will snap right out of it or shrug it off with the proper frequency (I believe). Many wont even remember they were under a spell.
For some people, you shine the light strong enough & long enough, they will leave the darkness and step into the light.
For those with ego & pride, are the ones refuse to stepping out of the darkness and into the light. At this point, there's nothing much anyone can do for them, I am afraid.
