This was an "I am scared, don't touch me now" type of bite; so the saliva proteins will not be very strong. Black cats are different from others; they are often very highly intelligent and have their own minds. They are also usually very protective of their people.

Hydrogen peroxide poured over the wound; let it bubble and fizz as long as it will. Rinse with water. Repeat the hydrogen peroxide pour, bubble and fizz. Keep repeating. When hydrogen peroxide no longer bubbles and fizzes, rinse with water, put Neosporin on and a bandage. Change bandage every few hours, check the wound and, if it looks a little nasty, repeat the hydrogen peroxide regimen. If it still looks nasty after the second bandage removal, go to the doctor.

We now know the answer is…give it a heatlamp, bedding, food, and water.
