When Cruz first announced he was running for President, I was excited! That excitement didn't last long.
When I found out that he was born in Canada and one of his parents was NOT a US citizen, I instantly DETESTED him. He KNEW he wasn't eligible to run for POTUS, yet he entered the race anyway!
This was clearly the action of a very deceptive man.
I don't know anything about his murdering and raping children and I'm not telling you he didn't, but a deceptive person is full of all kinds of vile evils. In other words, it wouldn't surprise me.
If you are born to a US Citizen...no matter where in the world, you are a US citizen. Hence Obama's mom was a US citizen so it doesn't matter where he was born UNLESS his Kenyan father demanded Obama be Kenyan and there wasn't dual citizenship allowed.
To be the President or the Vice President, a person must be a NATURAL BORN CITIZEN. This is clearly stated in the Constitution and I learned that in elementary school.
A natural born citizen is a person who was born to parents BOTH OF WHOM WERE US CITIZENS AT THE TIME OF HIS BIRTH and also born in the USA or one of its territories or on a US military compound or on a US Embassy compound. That's why John McCain, born in Panama, was eligible.
Yet and still, if the child is born outside of the United States, a Consular Report of Birth Abroad (CRBA) must be filed with our government.

This Supreme Court ruled WRONGLY and RE-DEFINED the meaning of natural born citizenship! This just opened up a pandora's box of bullshit! I'm glad you found this but I hope you know that the SCOTUS in this case started our country down a dangerous path.
That would explain Obama. That would also explain why we had THREE Republican candidates who were NOT ELIGIBLE. That explains Kamala Harris. Do you see where this has been going?!
I need to re-read that part of the constitution then...I never understood all the Obama citizenship stuff bc his mom was from "Kansas"... I have a friend who was born in Morocco bc his dad was a diplomat and he is a US citizen...your explanation fits...

Just remember to distinguish the difference between a citizen and a natural born citizen. Naturalized citizens are not natural born citizens.
Simple example: I was born in Lansing, MI to parents who were citizens. So I am a natural born citizen. In fact, both of my parents were born in Michigan to parents who were citizens, so my parents were also natural born citizens.
Let's take the examples of people from other countries who apply for US citizenship. Many have to wait YEARS before they become citizens. When they finally become citizens, still none of them are natural born citizens.

Here is something that many have got tripped up on OR they are portraying it (the second part) inaccurately ON PURPOSE in order to deceive. I will break it down in two parts.
1. Natural born citizen (we've already established what that means)
2. A citizen at the time of the adoption of this Constitution. That meant someone who had been in the US for at least 14 contiguous years PRIOR to the adoption of the Constitution. Since our country was just being born, there were many people who had NOT been born here but who were patriots nonetheless.
A lot of deceivers, along with morons, want to dismiss the second part of that phrase - a the time of the ADOPTION of this Constitution. Unfortunately, these deceivers and/or morons are teaching Constitutional law in our nation's most prestigious law schools!
