Seriously...spend some considerable time investigating how, where, when, etc. of how to find water you can both drink and use for nonpotable reasons. I mean it, as a survivalist, please do indeed do this...takes about a month to "starve to death" realistically. It is only a few days without water and you are nearly dead. Don't take my word for it...go look that up. But learn to find life-giving water all over where you live...

No, lol. Here in CA plastic bags have been disco'd in most grocery stores several years ago. I worked in a market for 8 years -- trust me, they want you to fill up your cart and spend money there.
But because of what's happening around the country and the world with farmers plowing under their crops, and long-haul truckers staying off the roads -- both for $$$ -- we're going to start seeing the (delayed) results of that fairly soon, which is a supply disruption and low stock.
So just be prepared. We went through this a year and a half ago when we didn't know the half of the cr*p they were pulling, and we survived. We'll get through this, too.

If they really cared about the water shortage, wouldn't you ban water usages on golf courses, front lawns, pool re-topping, commercial building landscaping first? What's more important, food, or recreation/nice looking landscaping? The drought is real, it's the priorities that smell "fishy". Dovetails into the food shortage "conspiracy" I'm reading about. I agree! I also grew up on small farm. Organic variety of fruits, veggies, beef and chickens. Would watch my grandmother, who lived next door, grind her our corn flour. Strawberries and apricots have never tasted the same.

Get to the farmers markets now, carrots and apples keep well in a root cellar. Much can be blanched and frozen. Get veggie cans while you still can. Better, get a few grow lights, soil, seeds and a table surrounded by shower curtains to keep in the het and grow you own. We do and it works great. Learn to be self sufficient is as much as you can. Get a rainwater barrel.

I've seen a lot of seeds in natural food stores this year. In some states, if not all, they can be purchased with SNAP (food stamps.)
