I threw my microwave into a pile of scrap metal at the local dump in 2013. I read an article about why they were created. Even when they turn off, they are giving off radiation. 😔
Some scientists believe the increase in usage of ,microwave ovens in the past 40 years, has added to the number of birth defects and anomalies.. ( Two areas of the body, the eyes and the testes, are particularly vulnerable to RF heating..)
