I have never had a photograph of myself, whether done professionally or not, capture my true personality. I also know people that are very photogenic yet are among the most wicked, selfie addicted, attention seeking, narcissists. I see profile photos as fake and biased, just like facebook. Sorry, guess I had that on my mind for some time, giving a different perspective.

Yeah I really never understood the whole taking selfies a lot either, but I prefer seeing ppls faces on here and their eyes that is where I see who they are.

not just selfies, but what is it with the duck lips, different filter apps and thinking they gotta get the boob shots in there??? I hate pics, but I'd rather have my actual photo, than a fake......if you can't be real in your photo, how can I trust or believe what you post......I do understand that some have to keep their identities private (I should be 1 of those) I always hope those that my late hubby, bro in law and I worked with in gov't (or dated before I met my hubby) don't recognize me......lol
What we are battling is the fact that you should be able to say what you think without it affecting your job as long as you are not showing porn or threatening some.
