A serious question. Does the Earth move or are the stars spinning around us with Polaris in the center?

Serious counter question:

If Earth is flat and static, how Foucauld Pendulum actually do works? 😁😁😁

Primary Experimental Limitations and Sources of ErrorEllipticity of the swing path (one of the biggest practical issues):
The ideal motion is planar (straight back-and-forth), but small asymmetries in the suspension wire, bob shape, initial release conditions, or even slight non-linearity in the restoring force cause the path to become elliptical over time. This ellipticity introduces its own precession (apparent rotation of the plane) that can mask or interfere with the true Foucault precession from Earth's rotation. In bad setups, this dominates and makes the effect unobservable or incorrect.
Mitigation: Use very long pendulums (20+ meters), heavy bobs, careful initial planar release, and sometimes parametric resonance or electromagnetic corrections to minimize it.

Sensitivity to external perturbations and noise: Air currents / drafts: Even slight air movement in the room can push the bob and alter the plane.
Seismic / vibrational noise: Building vibrations, traffic, eart

Problem with every device which is from pre industrial era. Then was all perfect silent. No vibrations from traffic, no wavelenght noise...
