The image and those like it are an elegant and simple to understand demonstration/experiment that illustrates the Earth rotates on its axis, and that the Geocentric model is not correct.
Therefore the Earth is not stationary it moves. It rotates on its axis counterclockwise and orbits the Sun counterclockwise, the Heliocentric model is correct. The night sky changes throughout the year since the Earth is tilted at about 23.5 degrees from the ecliptic,
Polaris at this point in history is above the axis of rotation. But it hasn’t always been. The Earth has a slight wobble as it rotates on its axis and this center of rotation changes slightly over long periods of time.
If the Earth was the center of the Universe you wouldn’t see this at all. Night-sky timed photographs would look very different and it wouldn’t change throughout the year, it would stay the same every evening always.

Primary Experimental Limitations and Sources of ErrorEllipticity of the swing path (one of the biggest practical issues):
The ideal motion is planar (straight back-and-forth), but small asymmetries in the suspension wire, bob shape, initial release conditions, or even slight non-linearity in the restoring force cause the path to become elliptical over time. This ellipticity introduces its own precession (apparent rotation of the plane) that can mask or interfere with the true Foucault precession from Earth's rotation. In bad setups, this dominates and makes the effect unobservable or incorrect.
Mitigation: Use very long pendulums (20+ meters), heavy bobs, careful initial planar release, and sometimes parametric resonance or electromagnetic corrections to minimize it.
Sensitivity to external perturbations and noise: Air currents / drafts: Even slight air movement in the room can push the bob and alter the plane.

Foucault pendulum is another perfect simple easy elegant demonstration/experiment that proves the Earth rotates on its axis.
Newton’s 1st law: An object at rest wants to stay at rest; an object in motion wants to stay in motion unless acted on by an outside unbalanced force.
Therefore the massive pendulum swings back and forth in a straight line and wants to continue to do so, Newton’s 1st Law.
However, the Earth rotates on its axis below the pendulum and therefore the Pendulum slowly knocks over the dominoes one at a time in a circle as the Earth rotates 15 degrees each hour. In 24 hours all the dominoes are knocked over.
You can make a Foucault Pendulum at home and try it yourself.
