Foucault pendulum is another perfect simple easy elegant demonstration/experiment that proves the Earth rotates on its axis.
Newton’s 1st law: An object at rest wants to stay at rest; an object in motion wants to stay in motion unless acted on by an outside unbalanced force.
Therefore the massive pendulum swings back and forth in a straight line and wants to continue to do so, Newton’s 1st Law.
However, the Earth rotates on its axis below the pendulum and therefore the Pendulum slowly knocks over the dominoes one at a time in a circle as the Earth rotates 15 degrees each hour. In 24 hours all the dominoes are knocked over.

Primary Experimental Limitations and Sources of ErrorEllipticity of the swing path (one of the biggest practical issues):
The ideal motion is planar (straight back-and-forth), but small asymmetries in the suspension wire, bob shape, initial release conditions, or even slight non-linearity in the restoring force cause the path to become elliptical over time.
