Can Service Dogs Make Life Easier for Veterans With PTSD?

A bill with bipartisan support would make it easier for veterans to get trained service dogs.

“The SAVES Act will ultimately put more service dogs in the hands of Veterans with visible and invisible disabilities, allowing them to regain their independence and reintegrate into civilian life."

Depends on the definition of 'service dog'...

Is this term only applied to those dogs who have actually been trained, or also to untrained dogs, with vests on that say, 'service dog'...

They have to be certified by the VA for veterans with PTSD. No normal service dog has the specific training for a veteran service dog or so I was told.

People's pets have no business wearing a 'service animal' vest.
