I am so touched today though he was born in Sept...tradition taught me this day.
I learned yesterday the wise men were actually
very powerful men called "the King makers."
They came to honor The King of the World as Christ Jesus would have been about 3 or 4.
They knew thus Gold-Kingship, Frankincense-High Priest, and Myrrh-The Lamb. These King makers came with troops..on horses..believed to be from Iran. Traveling the distance on horseback though there were like in wagon trains food wagons and cooks for the trip.
Herod had to be careful...they were powerful..yet did not look to usurp Herod but locate The King.
Never thought much about Mary & Joseph having family in Bethlehem either. They must have felt like outcasts a Virgin with child. In those times you made room...yet they did not.
Often have thought about John, his mom Knew Mary held the Christ, God's son.
Even John questioned "Are you the one?"
