Parents - stop drinking the kool=aid. These are YOUR CHILDREN and you have the responsibility to insure their health, safety and well-being. The medical profession consists of professional doctors, health care workers and pharmacists who are in that business to make profits. Their primary aim is to make money. The well-being of your child is not necessarily a priority for most of them. So decisions that affect your child still rests within your responsibility. You have every right indeed obligation to take a stand with the decisions regarding your child. Speak up, stand your ground.
