The candle flame is placing it melted self on the snow. Try a differnt heat source like a propane torch and see how fast it melts. It is the type of snow made when the temps are very, very low. Very dry and loose. Hard to make a snowball with. Wet snow packs easy and makes good snowballs and is made if not so cold temps. Do we have a generation that knows nothing about the different types of snow? Move on folks, nothing to see here other then lack of experiacne.
