My visit with pain management yesterday went well. I'm still in pain, though. Nothing will change with that for another month. The doctor believes that the jolt from the cardioversion damaged nerves in my neck. He has ordered CT scans of my neck and shoulder as well as one on my lower back for the DDD. He is sending me to PT for the lower back to help get me straightened up and strengthen my legs for the next month, since nothing has been done for that since my diagnosis in 2011. I was prescribed trazadone to help me sleep. I slept a whopping 2 hours last night. Woke up in so much pain I've been throwing up this morning. When I go back in a month I will have injections (no steroids) to kill the nerves in my neck and stop the pain.
Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness, bitter for sweet
They did something similar to my wife when she had issues with a surgery. Wanted her to do PT but nothing for pain. That's BS. I'd call a different doctor . Is this guy or gal a pain and spine Dr. Or is he one of those that preach , just PT? They have no clue about pain especially the kind of pain you are going through.
I have had those injections they don't take away the pain but for a short period of time. The first shot was alright as far as dulling the pain but 2 or 3 days of relief with all the rest at the max and I had meds.
not trying to be negative. Just a heads up. I just know that feeling. Plus they are in no hurry to actually help you. A freaking month, I call BS.
Really hope it works out for you .
Of course you could be completely different than myself Or my wife.
