My great God,
Sometimes I hesitate to receive Joy from You, even though I know You have limitless supplies of it. Please help me to receive Your Joy in full measure--opening wide my arms in Your Presence. I've found that the more I rest with You, the more freely Your blessings flow into me. In the Light of Your Love, I am gradually being transformed from one degree of Glory to another. Through spending time with You, I begin to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is Your Love for me.

Sometimes the relationship You offer me seems too good to be true. You pour Your very Life into me, and all I have to do is receive You. In a world characterized by working and taking Your directive to rest and receive seems too easy. However, I've discovered that there's a close connection between believing and receiving. As I grow to trust You more fully, I am able to receive You and Your blessings abundantly.
O Lord, I long to be still in Your Presence--and know that You are God.
