Columbia caves to Trump’s demands after $400M threat over campus antisemitism, will institute mask ban and more oversight
Columbia University caved to the Trump administration Friday — agreeing to policy changes including a mask ban and allowing campus cops to make arrests — after the feds yanked $400 million in funding over how the Ivy League school handled antisemitism.
The embattled Morningside Heights university — which had become the epicenter of violent anti-Israel protests — will also install new leadership to review curriculum for its Middle East, South Asian and African Studies department and Center for Palestine Studies, according to a memo from administrators.
The school said 36 campus cops will now be empowered to arrest students or boot them from campus when deemed appropriate.

This is a classic example of the disgraceful lack of leadership in our "Ivy League" (IL) universities. The administration of these universities are only focused on the collection of their exorbitant tuitions and they turn a blind eye to any resistance on their campuses. Columbia University is exposed because of their complete lack of control over their own student body(ies) activities. For decades, these IL universities have repeatedly ignored the MISbehaviors of the frat/sorority houses that have endangered many students entering their first terms of higher education. While it is not only the administrations' management of these extracurricular activities, surely they must understand that the parents who send their first term students expect safety and observance of these activities are going to be maintained by the University administration. These administrators must accept that they are not only in their respective positions to just draw a paycheck. Administer your campuses.

when liberals send their kids to liberal schools they dont care about anything. republicans to send their kids to these liberal schools should know better. that age is very susceptable to reorganising the brain cells of these kids who were likely given everything they ever needed. columbia a rich school. as are all the IL schools. education starts on the first day. its called indoctrination.. usually successful the first semester..
