In Colorado at least, there is added to income tax, so many more "taxes" in the form of "fees" that are added to so many things like utility bills, at a restaurant for "maintenance" of the site, a "fee" to license your dog, road "fees" called tolls, etc. No one gets to vote on these additional taxes labeled "fees," so this is in reality, TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION! 😡 Praise God if this really happens! Plus all the hassle of filing taxes, and the cost of paying someone to do it, because citizens fear making a mistake. Once we were $5 under on our taxes and got a notice we owed $5! Yet illegals don't have to pay taxes, and I bet many in our government also do not pay their fair share in their millions. 🙄

I’m retired, wife is NP. Had a good year in 21, even though we both have taxes taken from every paycheck I “owed “23k to IRS. It’s bulshit but I paid it to keep my house and family safe
I never fully added it up however, between Federal, State and local taxes, we probably paid more than we kept.
