Here’s a baby squirrel, we named Sandy. I found Sandy on my deck after a tropical storm. The other littermates had died. I carried out round the clock care for 4 or 5 days until I turned Sandy over to a wildlife rehab.
Sandy was a fresh baby too.❤️
Loved taking care of
these little creatures.
When they come in
we start them with
pedialyte.

We don't know what became of Sandy. I wish we had just kept her and cared for her but we were in the middle of a 700 mile move to a new state. If I am in that situation again I will either raise the squirrel until it can be released or take it to my brother.
When I worked at the
Wildlife Care Center in
Fort Lauderdale…..
there was a standard
not to imprint the babies.
This allows them to be
returned to their natural habitat.
Some day you will be blessed again.
The Eastern Grey Squirrel is a favorite.
