"It's very unusual for a hurricane to form this time of year..." ?? Unusual for hurricanes where? Because from June 1st to November 1st it is hurricane season in Florida.
It's usually mid-to-late August before I hear of hurricanes developing, at the earliest.
Sorry man, I'm from Florida. Hurricanes and tropical storms can start going off in June and go as late as November.

I realize that's the season for hurricanes. I have relatives who live in Florida, and others who own homes there. I'm just saying that I usually don't hear of them forming until after July, that's all.
Stay safe.
The potential for a hurricane to destroy my property is what keeps me from wanting to move there.
