I have lost my sweet boy, Legend today.
There is no more pain and he is at peace.
I am numb walking in circles.
Nowhere escapes a memory.
If life offers graduation he made it!
No longer afraid.
No longer in pain.
Today I lost him at 1PM..........there is a hole left only he can fill.
I cannot believe he is gone!
I thought the future was so bright as he overcame fears!
Please pray I feel numb and lost.
WHAT AN IMPRINT HE HAS LEFT ON MY HEART!
We love them, they love us. Their lives are shorter than ours but love never ceases. 🙏😇

Yesterday with his harness and leash I got a picture in my mind of Legend meeting Tig, Dakota (my first 2 shelties) Sniffles and my other pets... I like that!...I like better being with them all!

I am the different one in the family...been without them a long time.
Makes my pups mean so much more to me...not sure it would be any different regardless though.
God has used animals and insects in my life when people were missing...I believe I was blessed...pets are loyal faithful and loving...so different then my family.

Was thinking last night when I met Legend at the airport..he was sleeping. Not a peep on the flight...but once awake I discovered bad breath...uncommon in puppies. I knew his health would be a challenge to work on...Never considered protecting my heart! I adored him from the start... most puppies are sweet...Legend was very reserved...took time for him to love attention and love. Took time for him to decide he liked me...it made his love all the more rich..he choose me too.
It’s so touching when an animal chooses a person to trust and love. The Lord’s love flows through them into us and cheers our being. I feel as you said about family. We grew up with dogs and cats inside and outside. They were family members. Mother called them our brothers and sisters. They slept in our beds. I cherished their attention because family was not warm and fuzzy. Left home at 18 and stayed away to protect my sanity until mother was 90 and mostly alone. I feel responsible so moved to be close enough to help her. She’s not ill just frail but tough and sharp with a good memory. Now she’s 99! My animals are 17 and getting frail too. They are such comfort and I know we will be together in His Kingdom because of the love He has granted.💜

Patriot..your so similar! Maybe different details, fell in love with Colorado's beauty but returned to be near my parents.
I left home knowing if I didn't my sanity was at risk! (My mom repeatedly tried to kill me.) I believe she was Psychotronic. I returned to be available in the hopes of healing with both mom and dad. But I keep my distance the lack of kindness and cruelty they practice doesn't work for me. I chose God's path very early in life...that was not their route.
With you too about animals my mom let me care for a Robin in the home till it's wing healed that was special...but they did something to my rabbit Sniffles..to this day do not know what happened.

Wow! We are similar but my mother didn’t try to kill me just was against me from earliest memories. It’s hard but among four children I’m the one who lives near and helps her in every way. I pray for strength to always be kind to her no matter what. She likes animals so we always had them but has different ways with them that I wouldn’t do ever. The Lord is training me😇
