Military intelligence isn't going to say or print anything before the operation is over usually through the penalty stage. It would jeopardize the operation still in play...
Targets would be warned and could perhaps get rid of evidence or flee.
It would jeopardize and make their ( military ) job more difficult than it would have to be..
