Proud to be an American. Unwilling to give up my unalienable rights to the cancel culture. I support Trump's legacy and NO NEW WARS.

And gardening basics (like lettuce and tomatoes). And Sewing( a button, a hem or maybe basic sewing machine). And Carpentry. And Basic Auto Repair like changing oil or a flat. And how about basic housekeeping, like how toilet cleaning, fridge cleaning and sanitary sink practice. And what do they do if a fuse goes out, or a lightbulb needs to be changed or a smoke detector goes off. So much kids don't know because the parents are just as bad!!

It was!

We had full operating kitchen classes... stoves, refrigerators, sinks.
"Home Ec"...
"Home Economics"

ALL boys had to take Home Ex and ALL girls had to take
"Shop". It helped many to decide their love for career. Either electrician, mechanic, etc., vocational school or university professional as nurse, doctor, etc.

Truly feel sorry for the generations that got the shaft and learned nothing from their parents or weren't taught to figure it out by themselves.

We had those classes too -- learned how to sew, and how to function in the kitchen. Still using those skills many decades later. πŸ’›

Sewing class, typing class...
metal class, woodworking class, mechanics class, Home Ec, Driver's Ed...

We had desk cars in our class for each of us.
We watched a movie and interactively drove with the film.
Teacher sat behind us with view on her master desk for each of us, watching us making correct driving procedures or making mistakes. It was really cool!

Actually History, Math and the Constitution should be taught.

Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.

Another reason I'm glad we homeschool! I love teaching my children all the basic skills that are being forgotten!
