My mom and grandmother saved foil, wrapping paper, bacon grease ( there was always a metal coffee can next to the stove for that purpose, to pour in the bacon grease.) They saved string, rubber bands, plastic bread bags, empty jelly jars, and boxes of all sizes. 😇

My mom and grandmother saved everything. Mother even would wash Viva paper towels and hang up to dry. I am 67 and save bacon grease to season food and save foil too.
