Early in her life Christian author and gospel worker Ellen White was given an end times vision showing an inclining path ascending to heaven beginning wide and getting narrower and narrower as it went. Many believers were on the path dragging much of their worldly possessions that eventually got abandoned as the way steepened. As it narrowed and got so high many got fearful and slipped off. Finally it was single file only and came to a great abyss ... with a golden cord hanging down seemingly suspended from nothing that each person had to grab ahold of and swing across to the other side trusting completely that it would hold them.
She was told the cord was Jesus and in the end *all* our trust would need be solely in him.

You're welcome. Ellen White's entire life was lived very close to God. Despite only a 3rd grade education she became the most (or second most can't remember) published author in America of all time. Writing primarily through the second half of the 19th century and early 20th mainly at night by candle light by hand with ink and quill while keeping up an extraordinary missionary/evangelist travel schedule, largely by horse buggy and train with her husband James.
Her book Desire of Ages is, according to one curator at the Library of Congress, the most beautiful book ever written on the life of Jesus they have in their collection, while harmonizing all 4 gospel accounts.
Quite a lady.
