Very few of us know our origins! Personally, I know my ancestor came to England in 1075 from Brittany, a relative traced the male line. A name history revealed my paternal surname came originally from north east Germany, but what happened before or inbetween I would like to know. Those in control have always created divisions.
My mother's father was Reuben (first name), his father emigrated to Australia at 14 from Wales in around 1870. I had thought the name was Welsh, but recently came across the name as one of the 12 Tribes of Israel. I'm intrigued.
