a little - it tastes horrible, but it's a natural supplement for people who have a hard time absorbing Iron / ppl with iron deficiencies like anemia.

There could be other benefits but this is the main one I've researched.

I love the taste of it, it has loads of benefits.
Buy a good organic brand, only need a tsp a day, best first thing in the morning.
My Mama’s partner took it every morning for most of his life & when they got together she took it daily too…
I haven’t been using it for a while & wrote it in my shopping list today as I felt I needed to start again

I think that's why people used it for things like Molasses Ginger cookies. I remember my Mom making them. Looking back, molasses and ginger combo in a cookie was probably a great way to get the benefits to kids. They tasted really good!
